Chef Frank and Shawn are a husband-and-wife team who built FK from the ground up including the full renovation and design. Their passion for everything food & wine is matched only by their dedication to knowledgeable engaged service. The FK crew are career professionals who are either wine sommeliers or training to be. With a lifetime in the industry, they have run many of the top restaurants in Toronto. Frank is a Michelin star trained Chef and also worked under the critically acclaimed Jean-Georges Vongerichten in New York. At the age of 30, he became the Head Chef of one of Toronto’s top restaurant institutions, Centro. Shawn is the former GM of the members only Platinum Club at Scotia Bank Arena. FK is a scratch kitchen where everything is made in house. The menu changes often as it’s an ingredient driven restaurant and Chef shops at market daily and is often inspired by what he finds. He is also a master cheese and bread maker. Upon opening much to their delight FK (Frank’s Kitchen) received top reviews from all the critics and their restaurant was rated as a Top 10 Best Restaurant in Toronto in over 10 publications! They have received both local and international acclaim. They have been standing 12 years strong with the same crew who is family to them. Their family also extends to their guests, and have a very loyal long-time clientele.
