The Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) is one of the premier private clubs in Toronto. It was founded in 1852 to serve both as a yachting recreational club and an unofficial auxiliary of the Royal Navy in the defence of the waters of Lake Ontario. Today, the RCYC is a family-oriented Club that features a welcoming community, consisting of active sailors and like-minded individuals who share an interest in yachting, sport and tradition.
